About Us

Our dental clinic was established in April 1987 at Tanglin Shopping Centre, Singapore. From the outset, our dental practice was designed to provide evidence-based oral health care in a friendly, relaxed atmosphere. With our emphasis on providing comprehensive oral health care, and prevention the cornerstone of our practice philosophy, we have built up a loyal patient base both locally and from overseas.

Our practice is committed to upgrading, not only in materials and equipment, but more importantly in knowledge and the appropriate application of science and changing technology for the benefit of our patients.

In order for us to provide you with the quality of care, it is preferable that you book an appointment so that we can reserve sufficient time for you. We also provide emergency dental services after office hours for tooth trauma and toothache where patients want their teeth 'saved' rather than removed. Telephone (65) 6732-8908. The answering machine will provide instructions on how to contact us. Please note that after office hours fee applies.

In December 1993, we shifted from the 6th floor to our current premises on the 5th floor of Tanglin Shopping Centre.

Our Dental Team

Dr. Gerald Kian Chong LIM, BDS (Singapore), MSc (London), FAM (Singapore), MFGDP.RCS(UK). Dr. Lim started this practice in 1987 on returning to Singapore after lecturing at the School of Dentistry, University of Otago, New Zealand, and a short stint in private practice and hospital practice in London. He obtained his Masters in Conservative Dentistry in 1983. Conservative Dentistry comprises root canal treatment, and restoring teeth with fillings, crowns and bridges.
Dr Lim is a dental specialist in endodontics (root canal treatment).

Dr. Lim continues his link with academia and is an Adjunct Associate Professor in the Department of Restorative Dentistry, Faculty of Dentistry, National University of Singapore, teaching part-time in both the undergraduate and graduate program and continuing involvement in research and publications. He is also Associate Staff to the Department of Restorative Dentistry, National University Hospital.

Dr. Lim is active in his profession, and has served as President of the Singapore Dental Association (1990-93), Society of Endodontists Singapore (2000-03, 2007-2009) and the Asian Pacific Endodontic Confederation (2005-2007). He is also a Fellow of the Academy of Medicine, Singapore; the International College of Dentists; the Pierre Fauchard Academy; and the International College of Continuing Dental Education. In 2002 he was elected a Member of the Faculty of General Dental Practitioners, Royal College of Surgeons (UK). Dr Lim is married with four girls.

Sherry KOH is our Practice Manager. She has been in the oral care profession since 1979, and has been on our team since 1988. She is equally adept at both administration and dental assisting. She has a good memory for numbers. Don't be surprised if she can remember your birth date or contact number by heart! Sherry enjoys the challenge of putting the apprehensive person of any age at ease. She is also fluent in Malay.
